Scott J. Laird, Esq. graduated from Hofstra University in 2007, and went to law school at the Syracuse University College of Law, graduating with honors in 2010. In law school, he served as an Associate Notes Editor on the Syracuse Law Review.
In 2011, Mr. Laird was admitted to practice law in New York State and has been a civil litigator and legal advocate for over eleven years.
Mr. Laird's experience in civil litigation is extensive and inlcudes commercial litigation, real-estate based litigation, and insurance defense litigation in the greater New York City area.
Mr. Laird also represents buyers and sellers in the sale of businesses and routinely negotiates and drafts commercial leases, licensing agreements, non-disclsoure agreements, and joint-venture agreements. He also advises property owners and general contractors in the greater New York City area on issues such as mechanic’s liens, property development, and payment disputes. Finally, Mr. Laird advises corporate stakeholders in several prominent small and medium size U.S. corporations on risk management issues, product development, employment issues, and contractual negotiations.
He is currently employed as an Of Counsel attorney at Ropers Majeski, PC, in New York City.
